You can learn a lot from those who are more experienced - so do not believe you know everything no matter how experienced you are.</p>
<p><strong>Take it slow</strong> - Set reasonable goals. Do not expect to make the Olympics if you are a couple of times a week runner. Motiavation is a key element to training and the secret to this is in setting yourself realistic and achievable goals. If you try to take things too quickly chances are you will get burnt out both mentally and physically.</p>
<p><strong>Injury Prevention</strong> - I don’t know of any great athlete that hasn’t suffered a injury at one point in their career, and knows how devastating it can be. An injury can put an end to a season or an entire career. Prevent injury by warming up and being smart in your training.</p>

<p>A lot of people today are getting engrossed in running or jogging simply because they are now very conscious about their health. There was this story sometime ago about a 220-lb. 36-year-old man who started jogging 6 years ago. Upon the recommendation of his physician and physical trainer, he started by just doing brisk walking for several months. Then, after that, he alternately went for jogging and brisk walking every 10 minutes and after one year, he started to jog all the way for 45 minutes non-stop and guess what happened? He lost a lot of weight. Now he is more engrossed in jogging that he wants to really try joining a marathon contest. So, what he needs to do now is to learn some <a target="_blank" href="http://www.marathontrainingtips.net">marathon training tips</a> that will help him build stamina and resistance.</p>
<p>But why does he still have to learn a lot more tips when the fact is, he has been doing a lot of jogging for years now?
